Have you noticed that most people talk about one of two things:
- The Past
- Or The Future
Most people DON'T talk about the present.
What they are up to right now.
Wanna Know Why?
They aren't doing much of anything right now.
They are thinking about it, planning it, praying about it, contemplating it...
But never doing it.
I am always amazed by how many people are just sitting back and observing life.
They aren't actually LIVING it.
They are up in the bleeder section -- in their seat, arms crossed, refusing to PARTICIPATE in this game called LIFE.
It's sad really.
They are up there because they are AFRAID.
They fear failure.
They fear success.
They fear the opinions of others.
They fear life.
They fear death.
What a sad, sad existence -- if you can even call it that -- "existence."
I really love to watch sports, especially football, and one day I realized that there are 60,000 people in the stands and 200 on the field.
Kinda Like Life!
Yes, you're going to get knocked around sometimes, and yes, you're going to skin your knees.
But, you're also going to experience that feeling of BEing more than you ever dreamed you could.
How do you get out of the stands?
You commit to living.
You begin living in the present.
RIGHT NOW.
You surround yourself with other players.
RIGHT NOW.

Great post man.
Very similar to a post I wrote today about the pain of regret and the pain of discipline. As people all of us are feeling one or the other.
It always amazes me that people are afraid of their abilities and would rather kick back and let their dreams fade off into the past condemning their future.
