What Andre Agassi’s Crystal Meth Addiction Taught Me About Network Marketing

I'll tell you this, I'm not a born Network Marketer, but there is something that I read about Andre Agassi that gave me hope!

First of all, he reveals in his new autobiography, Open, that he always hated tennis "with a dark and secret passion" because of his overbearing father.

Then he goes on to admit that he used crystal meth in 1997 and failed a drug test — a result thrown out after he lied by saying he "unwittingly" took the substance.

I know, I know. Neither of these statements are very inspiring.

But hear me out.

If I play the role of amateur psychologist here, I would venture to say that Mr. Agassi was disillusioned with his success as a tennis player because he was forced to play it by his father -- which led him to do stupid things, like take crystal meth.

But don't we always hear that you need to be PASSIONATE about something in order to succeed in it?

Well, here's a HUGE glitch in that matrix of thinking, because Andre Agassi was one of the best tennis players of his generation, if not of all time!

This gives me hope because, like I said before, I'm not a "natural" Network Marketer and it is not my passion.

I don't get up in the morning thinking -- boy, I'm doing what I've always dreamed of doing -- building networks of people who buy my company's products.

And, despite what many people might have you believe (including all those "Blastoff" people that are spamming us on Facebook lately), most people are not passionate about MLM or Network Marketing, either.

It's a VEHICLE that helps you get where you want to go.

I, for example, love creating art.

I am PASSIONATE about this.

This is what gets me up in the morning day after day to build my Network Marketing business to the point where I can be financially free and have a PASSIVE income that will allow me to create art and not be the stereotypical "starving artist."

But there's a word of caution to Agassi's story, too.

Make sure you know WHY you are doing this business and think about it every single day.

Better yet, write it down and look it over every morning and night.

Otherwise, you're going to burn yourself out.

And you might even do something stupid.
